Here’s exactly what your stay looks like, from the moment you arrive in Merzouga to the moment you head back.
Day 1 – Merzouga → 1-hour camel ride → Luxury Desert Camp
Upon arrival in Merzouga, we will give you a map showing the location of our hotel, to find out where exactly you need to go to. Free parking is available right at the hotel.
Before heading into the desert, take a moment to relax with a Moroccan mint tea and use the bathroom. From there, you’ll set off on a 1-hour camel ride into the Sahara dunes, with a stop along the way to watch the sunset and try your hand at sandboarding.
All you will need during your camel ride is a small backpack with your personal belongings and water — we will take care of your main luggage, which will await you at the camp once you arrive.
After the sunset, you will continue your journey to our Merzouga luxury desert camp, where you will be welcomed with Moroccan tea, introduced to your tent and your luggage delivered right to your door. You will have one hour of free time to relax and freshen up before dinner.
In the evening, join the authentic Moroccan dinner and Berber & Amazigh musical campfire performances with drums and dancing. Enjoy yourself in the rhythms of drums and melodies of traditional songs, or just relax after an active day among the sands of the Sahara Desert.
You will sleep in a luxury private tent with a private bathroom.
Day 2 – Sunrise & Breakfast
Be sure to wake up early and go see the sunrise from the dunes – this is one thing that we always advise our guests not to miss. After seeing the sunrise, come back to camp for breakfast and then have a shower before packing. The rest of your luggage will be transported to the hotel in Merzouga. From here, you can decide whether you want to travel back by camel ride again or by 4×4 Jeep transfer . Both methods of transport are free of charge.

The best time to travel here would be between October and April, since this period is characterized by warm weather during the day and cool weather at night. However, the summer season (June-August) is very hot but early mornings and evenings are great if you camp properly.

We stayed two nights. Morocco Magic Tours arranged everything for us and the stay was very nice, the accommodation in luxury tent excellent and the staff welcoming and helpful.
