7 days Casablanca Best desert tour overview:

The 7 days Casablanca Best desert tour suggests you discover the magnificence of Morocco in just seven days. There are so many beautiful sights and activities to enjoy in the countryside. Although the country appears small on a map, it is actually quite big. Undoubtedly, one week is insufficient to see all of the attractions. It also includes desert excursions such as camel trekking and camping in the desert. Last but not least, it includes a tour of iconic Hollywood filming locations where you can see the backdrops of films such as Gladiator, the Mummy, and Game of Thrones. The trip includes culture and adventure so that you can discover Morocco’s hidden treasures.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Casablanca-Rabat-Roman Ruines at Volubilis- Meknes-Fes:

Your Moroccan driver will pick you up at the airport and drive you to Fez via Rabat and Meknes. In Rabat, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Kasbah des Oudaias will be explored. In general, you will explore the best of Rabat before proceeding to Meknes, the second regal metropolis of Morocco. The Bab Mansour Gate and the adjacent medina will be visited. Additionally, there is Lahdim Square, a relatively small copy of Jemaa el Fna.

Then you visit the adjacent Roman ruins of Volubilis, which are a UNESCO World Heritage site and a large, worthwhile complex. Historically, Volubilis was a significant and prosperous Roman metropolis. Ultimately, your trip to Fez. Overnight in Riad/Hotel.

Day 2: Fes sightseeing:

After breakfast at your riad, begin on an exciting tour of the Medina, where you will discover numerous hidden gems that only locals know about. Fes was the capital of Morocco for more than 350 years, and it is home to the world’s oldest operating university, the Institution of Al Karaouine. The Tanneries, the Nejjarine Fountains, and the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum are included in your guided tour.

After lunch, you will view the exterior of the Royal Palace and travel through Mellah, Morocco’s historic Jewish enclave, where you may be able to see one of the country’s remaining synagogues. We will go out for a drink in the afternoon in the new city. Spending the night in the Riad.

The magnificent dunes of Merzouga signify the start of the enormous Sahara Desert. We leave our car and ride a camel for an hour and a half into the desert to a Berber camp, where we watch the sunset and sleep in Berber tents under the starlight. Gather around the fire after dinner to appreciate the desert night while listening to traditional Berber drumming.

Day 3: Fes – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz valley-Merzouga

From Fez, you will go to Merzouga. This will be a magnificent tour into the center of the Sahara, where camels and Berber culture will await you as you explore Morocco from an entirely new perspective. You will depart Fez at 8:00 a.m. and travel to Ifrane, the first city, the following day. You stop there to take photographs and admire the sites of this beautiful city.

Your journey continues via the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, Rissani, and Merzouga. There, camels will take you to the Sahara desert’s center. During the trip, you will be entertained by a stunning sunset as the sun’s shapes meet the golden Merzouga dunes. After an hour-long camel journey, you reach the location where you will spend the night. You will spend the night dancing and listening to Berber music under the starlight.

Day 4: Merzouga -Todgha Gorge -Dades Valley

After a chaotic night, your guide will wake you early the following morning to view the desert sunrise. Then, before taking a camel excursion away from the dunes, you will have a Berber breakfast in your luxurious yurt. The camels will transport you back to Merzouga, where a new journey begins. The magnificent Erg Chebbi dunes, whose appearance changes as the day progresses, will be appreciated on the way back.

You will depart for Morocco’s deepest defile, Rissani, Tinghir, and Todra. There, you will have brunch and explore the surrounding area. Our leisurely one-week trek follows coastal paths to the picturesque city of Essaouira. Even though you will be visiting multiple destinations, you will travel slowly. It is sufficient that you will be able to appreciate the sites (rather than merely photographing them and departing) and that you will have sufficient time to truly experience the Moroccan way of life.

12 days Morocco Sahara tour itinerary:

Day 1: Casablanca-Rabat:

We begin our 12 days tour from Casablanca by welcoming you at the airport.
