Itinerary:
Day 1: Agadir – Taroudant – Taliouine:
Depart from Agadir and head towards Taroudant, a historic city known for its red walls and bustling medina. Explore the vibrant souks and soak in the lively atmosphere. Continue your journey to Taliouine, the saffron capital of Morocco. Learn about saffron production and enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch. Take in the picturesque mountain scenery and settle into your accommodations in Taliouine for a restful evening.
Day 2: Taliouine – Taznakht – Foum Zquid – Erg Chigaga:
Depart from Taliouine and drive through the scenic landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains. Stop at Taznakht to explore local artisan workshops and discover the art of Berber carpet weaving. Continue the journey to Foum Zquid, a desert town on the outskirts of the Sahara. From there, venture deep into the desert towards Erg Chigaga, home to magnificent sand dunes. Arrive at Erg Chigaga and settle into your desert camp, where you’ll enjoy a traditional dinner and spend a night under the starry desert sky.
Day 3: Erg Chigaga – M’hamid – Zagora:
On Day 3, depart from Erg Chigaga and ride your camel to M’hamid, a charming desert village. Explore the local culture and architecture before continuing your journey to Zagora, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara.” Enjoy the scenic drive through the desert landscapes and arrive in Zagora to explore the town’s historic sites and markets. Rest and prepare for the next adventures that await you. In the afternoon, ride a camel through the odd sand sea of the Erg-Chebbi desert, accompanied by an expert camel man. Depending on your choice, you will spend the night in camp either under the starlight or in a traditional Berber nomad camp. Dinner, accommodation, and breakfast are included.
Day 4: Zagora – Marrakech
Leave Zagora and drive back to Marrakech, enjoying the scenic landscapes along the way. Take breaks to capture photos or explore charming towns. Admire the majestic Atlas Mountains as you approach Marrakech. Conclude your 4 Days Desert Tour from Agadir and have the opportunity to further explore the vibrant city of Marrakech.
