Our 5 days Marrakech Private desert tour will give you more time to enjoy the famous Tizi-N-Tichka pass and its panoramic mountain views, visit ancient Kasbahs such as Telouet, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, Ouarzazate, Gorges, Valleys, Erg Chebbi golden dunes, etc. This desert excursion in Morocco from Marrakech provides ample opportunities to stop and appreciate each location.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Marrakech – High atlas mountains – Ouarzazate – Dades valley:
At 8 a.m., a reliable driver will transport you from Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains via Tizi Tichka (2260m) on a 4 days private desert tour. Along the route, you will pause to take in the scenery and visit the Argan oil cooperative. After breakfast at a local restaurant, enjoy the afternoon visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou. Then proceed to Dades Valley via Rose Valley. Stay overnight at a hotel.
Day 2: Dades valley – Dades gorges – Tinghir – Merzouga:
TAfter breakfast at the hotel, you’ll drive back through the valley to see the breathtaking rock formation known as “the monkey Fingers,” and then to Todra Gorge, where you’ll walk beneath the 300-meter-tall red wall where many rock climbers practice their sport. We will continue to Erfoud and Rissani for lunch before departing for Merzouga, where you will be welcomed with mint tea before checking into your accommodations. Staying the night at the hotel.
Day 3: Erg Chebbi desert excursion
To learn more about the area, we start our journey through it. Experiencing the music and lifestyle of the former Sudanese slaves with dark skin color. Merzouga Lake, with its population of flamingos, is close by.
In the afternoon, ride a camel through the odd sand sea of the Erg-Chebbi desert, accompanied by an expert camel man. Depending on your choice, you will spend the night in camp either under the starlight or in a traditional Berber nomad camp. Dinner, accommodation, and breakfast are included.
Day 4: Merzouga-Alnif-Nkoub-Ourzazate
After breakfast in our desert camp, we will return to Merzouga on camels, meet our driver, and proceed to Ouarzazate, passing through numerous Berber communities in the narrow Atlas Mountains (Alnif, Tazarine, Agdz, Draa valley). Ouarzazate is where your overnight stay is.
Day 5: Ourzazate- Atlas mountains-Marrakech
You will begin your final day with Camel Excursions with a short drive to the film studios. You will then begin your journey through the High Atlas Mountains back to the Imperial city of Marrakech via the highest road pass in Morocco, Tizi Tichka 2260m high, which offers spectacular views of valleys, mountains, and many Berber villages nearby.
