Our 4 days Marrakech Sahara desert tour will pick you up in Marrakech and transport you to the Dades Gorges, where you will see amazing, multicolored landscapes. We will explore the kasbah of Ait Benhaddou before proceeding to the Sahara desert. We spend the night in the dunes and cook our dinner over a campfire. We spend the night in Nomad buildings in a town in the desert.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Marrakech – High atlas mountains – Ouarzazate – Dades valley:
Our 4 days Marrakech Sahara desert tour start with a drive over the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m) in the High Atlas Mountains to Ait Benhaddou, a fortified ksar with magnificent Kasbahs. Several films have used Ait Benhaddou as a natural background. After lunch, we will travel to Dades via Ouarzazate, Skoura’s palm plantation, and the Dades Valley, where we will spend the night for the first trip. Overnight in Dades.
Day 2: Dades valley-Dades gorges-Tinghir-Merzouga:
The second day begins with a visit to the Dades Gorges, then continues with a drive through the Dades Valley’s colorful Berber communities along a path of one thousand kasbahs to Tineghir, which is home to a magnificent palm grove. We will proceed to the Todgha Gorge, where 300-meter-deep canyons are a popular destination for mountain climbers. After that, we’ll pause for lunch en route to the Erg Chebbi dunes in the Merzouga Sahara desert. Spend the night in a tranquil environment at a hotel on the dunes of Erg Chebbi in the Sahara.
Day 3: Merzouga sightseeing tour and Camel ride
We will travel to the desert to explore the magnificent Erg Chebbi dunes. You will have the opportunity of seeing both the nomadic way of life and the desert’s remarkable dynamic contrasts as we cross the dunes. We will travel to Khamlia to spend time with the Gnawa musicians. In Rissani’s historic capital, lunch will be traditional Berber pizza. In the afternoon, we will ride camels and spend the night in a desert yurt to watch the sunset over the sand dunes. In the breathtaking Sahara desert, we will enjoy a traditional tagine dinner, drink delicious mint tea, and listen to traditional Berber music while admiring the stars and the rising moon. Camping overnight.
Day 4: Merzouga – Alnif – Nkoub – Ourzazate – Marrakech
The following morning, wake early and enjoy a delicious breakfast while viewing the sunrise. After that, we will return to Marrakech via Alnif, Tazarine, Nkoub, Agdez, and Ouarzazate, where we will cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n Tichka. Arrive in the evening in Marrakech.
