On the first day of our 6 days tour from Fes to Marrakech, we will pick you up in Fez and get you to Merzouga in southern Morocco. On your way to Ifrane, Morocco’s Switzerland, you will pass through a Middle Atlas grove of old cedars. In the late afternoon, a charming Auberge in the Erg Chebbi dunes will greet you as your Sahara desert destination for the overnight.
The region of the Sahara Desert known as Erg Chebbi will be yours to explore for the rest of the day. Visit the acoustic village of Khamlia, enjoy a cup of tea with a rural family, discover a fossil, discover the largest lake in the region, and appreciate the beautiful oasis in Merzouga. You will also have the opportunity to experience an area of the formerly “Dakar” off-road in the dunes. In the afternoon, you will ride a camel across the Erg-strange Chebbi’s sand dunes with an experienced camel guide. Here you will spend your first night, either under the starlight or in an authentic Berber nomad tent. The evening meal will be served in the tent where you will spend the night.
Begin your day with a delicious breakfast. Pass through Tinghir and Rissani. While you appreciate canyons, stop at Todra Gorge and Dades Gorge. Throughout the journey, you will pass by a number of Berber communities. Spend the night in one of the most luxurious hotels in the area. Enjoy your meal at their restaurant.
After breakfast, begin the day by passing through several Berber villages. Explore the Berber ways of living. Visit Skoura’s Oasis, which is filled with an infinite number of palm trees. Pay a visit to a film facility in Ouarzazate. Take yourself in the rich history of the magnificent Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. Glaoui Kasbah shows insight into the character of Atlas’s ruler. Cross Tizi n’Tichka Pass on a scenic drive and arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
Your Marrakech sightseeing journey will begin with transport from your hotel and an exploration of discovery led by a knowledgeable local guide who will accompany you to one of Morocco’s oldest imperial cities.
You will learn more about the legendary French designer Majorelle and explore the beautiful and historically significant Majorelle Garden. Yves, who has restored the garden architecture, will guide you along the shady pathways. Explore the origins of exotic plant fantasies. A landscape was a garden designed by the French artist Jacques Majorelle. Explore the cactus gardens, garden walkways, and fountains. The twelve-acre property is inhabited by fifteen distinct avian species.
Following lunch, we pause at a simple restaurant in the heart of Medina. You will visit the famous Bahia Palace, which features magnificent courtyards and mosaic walls constructed by Bou Ahmed. Take a walk through the Jewish Quarter and observe the differences in architecture. Visit the mausoleum of the Saadians, the Koutoubia mosque, and the Jemaa el Fna square, all of which were constructed during the reign of Sultan Ahmed El Mansour in 1557. The guide will accompany you back to your Riad.
After breakfast at your riad, you will depart for Essaouira, a Moroccan coastal city. We arrived after a 2.5-hour journey and immediately began traveling the city. As you make your way through the medina’s alleys, you’ll see the Skala Fortress, shaped Thuya wood, and countless handicrafts. Surfers from around the globe crowded to this “City of the Wind.” Essaouira has been influenced by numerous civilizations, most notably the Portuguese conquest, which has left an indelible imprint on the city’s architecture, but it is still a small community immersed in history. Due to its grandeur, distinctive blue entrances, and whitewashed walls, it is also known as the “Jewel of the Atlantic” Additionally, you will visit an Argan oil women’s cooperative.
